6BR twist rate

I 26" Krieger .036" in standard 6mm BR Norma, I can shoot lighter that 80 grain with good results, but it will not outshoot my 23" 1-10 twist rifle. But anything over 85 grains, the 1-8 does better, it jucks with the 66 grain barts in the 1-8 twist, this is where my 1-10 shines to 80 grains, even the 95 grain Bibbs shoot good in the 1-10, but it wont shoot as good with them as the 1-8 barrel does.

I have decided never to use another barrel with this case slower than a 1-10,, and this is my proffered varmint twist, for 62- 80 grain bullets. But for anything 95 to 108 grain,, as heavy I use, the 1-8 is all I need!

I gave up years ago trying to make 1-14 6mm do anything unless it is in a 6PPC even a 1-12 twist will never be on one of my BR's again, unless it's a 22!!

I've got a 8 twist and it shoots great from 65 grainers to 107 grain bullets was surprised how well it shot the 65 but it shoots small with varget behind it.

I’ve got a wild hair to buy a prefit 6BR to play around with. PVA has a pretty good 4th of July sale, and I was about to pull the trigger, but they’re 6mm barrels all come with a standard 7 twist, I was planning on an 8. I’ll probably shoot 105’s most of the time, but would like the option to play around with the lighter 80-95 gr bullets. The Berger calculator says the lighter bullets would be stable, but does anyone have any experience with a 7 twist? My 2nd consideration is an 8T from preferred barrel blanks. This is just for fun/plinking, not competition.
