Hello, got no replies on my first post. I've decided on a 6br for my next project rifle... 90% punching paper out to 300 and some land bound squirrels > 400yards. I wanted to shoot the 55 and 70 grain blitzkings for live varmint.
I haven't had much experience with the br bullets. Seems from what I've read so far that the 68grn bullets are used mostly for 100/200br and then the 70 or 80+ grain bullets ie 80grn fowler fb are used out to 500yrds.
Now I need to decide on what rate of twist I should get for the abovementioned bullet weights. Is this too wide of a range of weights or is there something that will work well for these weights. I read the faq's and it seemed that a 1-10" would be good for anything up to 90grains without sacrificing too much velocity. Is this going to be an OK twist rate or should I go with something slightly slower like a 1-11" or 1-12". Seems like the 6ppc shooters like a 1-14 for the sub 70grain bullets.
