6BR Sporter Build

I am considering building a 6BR sporter using a Rem 700 SPS as the donor action... and would like some input.
Will the 6BR feed from a Rem 700 22-250 magazine without modification?
Anybody do this rebuild..comments re: do's and don't's?
How would an 8 1/2 twist perform?
What barrel length is required to develop "decent" velocity?

I just did this on a Sako action I used a PPC mag so it feeds perfect. Check out Mike Bryants magazine work in order to get it to feed. I don't think it will feed unless shortened.

I don't want to hi-jac this thread BUT has anyone had luck with the Dasher feeding through the magazine?
Thanx,
Jim

Have a new Savage PTA action.
Who supplies chambered barrels, for this action?
Am aware of Sharp Shooter Supply. Does any of the major barrel makers also supply chambered barrels.

Following Fireballs advice
I built my 6BR sporter on a Tikka 595 action using a 22/250 magazine

feeds as slick as snot- to use that "interesting" descriptor

5 rounds single stack in a magazine- avoids all the suposed feeding issues of the 6BR round

I used a 1:10 factory Tikka .243 barrel and had it cut and shut to a no turn neck 6 BR Norma

If I shot this rifle in the local BR club matches I would be low top ten placings with a factory sporter

mine really likes the 65 V-max
