6BR Reamer

Looking for recommendations on a 6BR reamer. What is the preferred freebore for the Berger and/or Lapua 105gr bullets? Should I go with a match or a minimum SAMMI spec. chamber? I will be turning necks so I will be specifying a .267 or .268 neck for blue box Lapua brass. Reamer case length of 1.560 trim to 1.550 as needed? Freebore diameter a tenth larger than the largest bullet diameter I plan on using? 1.5 degree lead angle seems pretty typical anybody using something different? Advise appreciated.

Go with a match chamber so the brass will move the least and last longer.I believe the freebore should be .104.

If using Redding S-Type FL dies, be sure and spec the base @.200" .4714"/.4715" as my die measures .4695" You can eliminate the need for custom dies if you stay this course.

Some tool makers use a .471" at .200" and .0005" sizing is just not sufficient. You will get a click at the top opening the bolt on higher end charges.

If you decide not to turn necks, reamer #1262 from JGS is about as good as it gets. It is a reamer they stock and sometimes is on the shelf.

If you get a custom, PT&G is also a great choice as my last 3 from Dave have cut the best as anything I own. He will treat you right.

For freebore diameter I always go with .2436" or lately .2438" with the fatter bullets being made from Berger.
