6BR precision mics

Who makes a or where could I purchase a
6BR precision mic for full length resizing my cases? Thanks for any help.

Does anybody other than RCBS make precision mics? I'd like one in .284, but that's a caliber they don't make one for. I'm surprised, uo say the least.

Would this do what you want to do? I have one. It is a quality tool.

The Forster Datum dials are pretty handy. They are also not cheap.

I have a Wilson BR case gauge - and I don't know where it came from - must have been in a lot I bought sometime. Useful though and I do use it when sizing the BR. I had one for the 6SLR made from a barrel cut off. As it's a wildcat, no commercial gauge was available and it;s most use is for checking brass after first forming. For other cases, I just use the Hornady attachment on my calipers.

I made a spacer to put in a 308 precision mic. You get accurate readings, but the numbers mean nothing. Just use it for comparison purposes. I made a second spacer for the 308 mic and use the bullet spindle from a 223 precision mic to check bullet seating depth. Again just for comparison.

I have 3 precision mics, that were originally .223, .22-250, and .30-06. I made a spacer to use with the -06 mic, for any .308 based cartridge. The same spacer in the .22-250 mic, works fine for BR based cartridges. As a previous poster said, the numbers you generate are irrelevant, as it’s a purely comparative tool. You definitely don’t need one for every cartridge you load.

The Whidden tool will do what you want economically and the quality looks to be very good. A rare combination in this world. Go forth and conquer young man! Lol.

These used to be very popular, kinda sop for a long time. People referred to them as a "barrel gizzy". It's simply made from the cutoff from your barrel, using the same reamer as it was chambered with. Just run it in deep enough to form most of the shoulder. It gives very accurate shoulder bump and lands location. Great for setting up a dummy round or whatever. Doesn't get much better than a tool made with the same reamer as the chamber was cut with and material from the same barrel. Pic coming. Not very pretty but it doesn't have to be. Just one a grabbed from a drawer of about 100 of them in there. Lol!
