6br powder of choice

Hey guys, just looking for some feedback in powder choices for my 6br norma with 105 gr bullets. It shoots 30gr of varget awesome, but im having trouble finding more of it and it really carbon fouls the barrel. I bought some vv n150 but havent tried it yet. Looked for some reloader 15 without any luck either..
Any suggestions?
Thanks,
John

Prob about 29.5 to 30gr like the varget?

BOTH, myself and my friend (Smoking-Brass on this site) used VV N150 with "my load" being 30.4grs and "his load" being 30.3grs along with a CCI BR-4 primer. Superbly accurate and high velocity! The velocity ran in the 2875f.p.s. range. I was using a Berger Hybrid (when they first came out) and he used the 107 SMK.

I have a 6BR that shoots tight groups at 600 yds using 30.1 gr. of N150 ,cci 450 primers and 105 Berger Hybrids .....IMR 8208 XBR is a good powder to try also.

mshelton, are you kidding I hope but think about this, what if someone took your advice and blew up his gun or worse yet?

You can't pack enough Trailboss in any cartridge to blow it up....

Then what is the point of even suggesting something like this in the first place sir?

Because it's actually a really fun powder in the 6br and a lot of other chamberings.

What's the point of you being a wet blanket?

i have some 8208 xbr. I might try that as well.

I shoot 4895 in my 6br. I also shoot the 95gr vlds. (It's a 9 twist ). If someone blows up a 6mmbr with trail boss I would like to know how. You can fill the case to the brim and seat the heaviest bullet in there and get no pressure signs. Maybe if you use a Mosin nagant or trapdoor Springfield as an action to build on.

I tried 8208xbr and had some bolt lift/pressure signs in our Panda BigBore. If I recall, 28.8 was ok, 28.9 was showing pressure. I stopped using it, have stayed with Varget and 203B. RL15 and H4895 are both good, have not tried the N150 in ours.

I picked up some 8208 XBR about a month ago and loaded some 108 bergers just to see how it would perform. I worked up to 29.5 and was doing good with no pressure signs. I think I could have worked up a tiny bit more, but the accuracy started to happen at 29.1 to 29.3. I would like to try vv150 and h4895.
