6BR OR 243

simon6ppc,

The 6BR will do at long range, what the PPC does at short range. I have killed deer with the 6BR and 6BRX, they do great. The 6BR and 6BR IMP, are unequaled as far as accuracy. They will do it with less powder and better barrel life.

Check out the 6.5 47. Not sure what the case head diameter is. Extremely accurate, good barrel life. Bullets up to 130 gr. It can be used up to 1000 yrds.

Head's (rim) supposed to be 0.473", base above extractor groove 0.470" basically the same as 308WIN / 6BR.

Also works well necked down to 6mm for use out to 1,000 yards. Very similar to 6XC & 6.5 Creedmoor necked down to 6mm.

Almost too many 6mm options in cartridges with similar case capacity....

Google 6.5 47 caliber and look at the specs.

I see it as a no brainer... 6br all the way. And the 6.5x47 is great with 140gr bullets, not just 130s.
