I know there has been several 6BR hunting rifles made and several discussions on how to get them to feed out of a 700. Here’s an alternative to the 700 that’s just as good if not IMO a better option with zero feeding issues whatsoever.
Tikka T3 using there 22-250 size magazine. Before I built the rifle I made several test runs from 90 Gr Hunting bullets to 105 VLD’s. Each time testing a full magazine and they fed reliably the first through the third round every time. I even mixed them up just to try to see if it would do something weird and it didn’t.
I can see one of these in my own gun safe in the very near future.
Here’s some pics and build info on this one
Tikka T3 - Trued action with the taper removed from the front of the action
PTG Tombstone recoil lug
Mtn Tactical trigger spring
McMillan Edge Filled Game Warden
Brux 1-8” #3 barrel threaded 1/2-28
Talley Rings and Leupold VX5 3-15x44 scope
@NJ338 cerakoted the barreled action sniper grey and shot sniper grey specs on the stock
I changed out the flat head screws for a set of socket head cap screws that I cut to length and chucked them up in the lathe and cut a 60 degree counterbore on them so they’ll recess nicely into the trigger guard
Here’s a few pics
