Hi,
I was wanting to find out how many inches of elevation I need to dial in from a 100 yard zero to be close to being on at 600 yards. The cartride is a 6mm BR Norma. Currently I'm dead on at 100 shooting 105 Bergers at 2900 fps. The scope has 1/8 clicks and I want to make sure I've got plenty of elevation in the scope to reach 600. Thanks very much.

You are doing the right thing....onece you have a 100yd zero....dial your scope up around 12 inches/moa,tomaato/tomato-grin)...and also go up around 30 inches and see if you really have that much travel left ..,,as Lynn alluded to ..these values can change with elevation/temp/humidity/etc))...even if your scope has 60-70 moa/inches at 100 if the bases are not rite you could run out of travel if you are allready way up on your travel...that is why lots of folks have/are using 20moa bases....some socpes,B&L-Weaver-etc) dont have much travel to begin with so you gotta use the jacked up bases and ring combos.....you want to find out now,,before you go to an event and cant get it up!!!!...Roger.

I think Lynn really did mean inches. He was talking about dialing up that much on the 100 yard target.

This should be a good lesson for you. If you're going to shoot past 100 yards, start training your brain to think in MOA rather than inches or clicks. It will make life a whole lot simpler. Your scope is graduated in MOA and it's a lot easier to go up 11 MOA than it is to count up 88 clicks. And just wait until you want to go up 7.5 MOA at 485 yards. Quick, how many clicks is that???

7 x pi
carry the 2
subtract the 485 yards

ummm.... I give up. I knew I should have stayed in school.... See kids!!!! you never know when you have to do this stuff in real life.
