6BR Freebore

If a 6BR chamber has a .094 freebore, would it work well with a Berger 80 grain FB and would a Berger 68 grain FB be too short? Thanks!

It will work fine with the 80 Berger. Don't know for sure about the 68.

It'll work. You won't have a lot of bullet in the neck with most 68's but it'll be plenty. I use the same fb on a 6br reamer with both bullets.

Thanks! I just ordered a 6BR 12 twist barrel from X-Caliber. The freeborn they use is .094 for this barrel. I plan to just shoot the Berger 80 FBs for 100-200 yard paper targets.

It'll work just fine

Shoot it, it will work fine. I shoot an 8tw with a 94 freebore with Berger 105's and 105 Amax.

AR Comp loads have been really accurate in my .223 bolt gun so I was thinking of trying it with the 6BR when I finally get all the parts in. Is that a good idea and does anyone have any starting load suggestions with 68 and 80 grain Berger FBs? Thanks!
