WyoWindage said:The Forester FL die I bought is collapsing my cases. Guess $29, you get what you pay for. These were once fired. I know the neck is sized too much, but planned to expand them. I also got a Redding body die and a Wilson Seater. Didn't get a Wilson neck sizer, as I borrowed a 30BR one. Found out it only sizes about half the neck (.267 bushing), so guess my next purchase is a new 6br Wilson. Think I will sent the Forester back to Midway. Am I doing something wrong with it? Thanks, Ron.
On the second case, I sized about .1" at a time, still no good, imperial wax.

You guys are great! So many good ideas. Another poor pic, Cat. Best I can do with my old vivitar. I measured the Wilson sized neck, about .20". I never realized the 6br die would only size 3/16". Maybe I'm ok then. I would swear I FL sized a couple cases with the Forster a couple days ago. The last 2 I ruined, I had pulled the decapping rod up a little into the die. Maybe too far? I think the die necks down to about .260". I read somewhere (on this site I think) that folks say to send to Forster and have the neck honed out to your choice. $10+post. If the 30br wilson is working correctly, I can FL body with the Redding, I think. I may try the FL Forster again, my scotch says don't ruin anymore of those nice Lapua cases, lol. Thanks much. Ron
Like Judd I had a similar problem with a new Redding Die and my Lapua 6BR brass and so I called Redding. The technician told me it sounded like the die needed to be higher off the shell holder. I adjusted it while he was on the phone and it has worked great ever since.Judd said:Looks like to me it needs to be higher off the shell holder. I did that once with a new set of Hornady dies on a Creedmoor case.
