6BR Ejection on Savage

I got a new Savage LRPV Model 12 in 6BR So far so wonderful but it would extract but not eject--the case would just flop and lay in the loading sled--Called Savage they sent parts Free of charge to replace extractor and new pin--popped the parts in now that thing will sling the case across the bench easy as pie
Thanks Savage

I cut my ejector spring down on mine. There is just enough to hold it and I pluck it out and back in the box. The price and availability of 6BR Lapua brass I don’t want any slinging any where.
I wish they would do a bottom eject. I would be in for a couple.

Just reread your post. I saw the issue was fixed.

There is a small ball bearing behind the extractor that needs to be replaced. The factory one does not provide enough tension to hold it.. Savage Shooters has info on the fix. My 223 used to do the same thing about 50% of the time.

Edit: I found this in my notes for the size of ball bearing.
Ace Hardware 9/64 ball bearing. Fastenal 3.5mm /.140
