Not sure if it's Remington or Norma. Bought this used and the barrel is only marked 6br and neck diameter.6mm BR Remington or the more common 6mm Norma BR?
The Redding Type S fl Bushing die, becomes a "Body Die" when expander/decap rod is removed.
The expander can be replaced, so only decapping is done. Comes with the S die.
Fixing to jump into the fire with ya on mine. Should be a helpful thread for both of usFirst experience with this chambering. Suffering from information overload.
I *think* I want a bushing die. Seems to me I probably need a body die as well?
Where would you start if you were new to this chambering?
Thanks for looking.
This plus add a Lee micrometer seating die(cheap) and you are all set.I have two 6br's and I use a Redding body die to size the case body and set my desired shoulder bump and Lee Collet die to size the neck. Works as good or better than more expensive high end dies. After this all you need is a good seater die. JME
Just getting my feet wet. Might not even like this, don't know until I try. This plus add a Lee micrometer seating die(cheap) and you are all set.

P.S. If you are not a bench rest shooter the above combo will do fine.
If you are as ANAL as a GOLFER or BENCHRESTER or God Forbid BOTH-----GO FOR THE SKY!!!
I have many 6br dies from Redding to Forster to custom . For the money I don’t think you will find a better die than the Wilson f/l bushing die.Just getting my feet wet. Might not even like this, don't know until I try.
Sending a PMMy suggestion is to first determine what 6BR chamber you have...the 1.560" 'Norma' or the 1.520" 'Remington'. The back end of the 'Remington BR' chambers will be a bit smaller than the ''Norma' 6BR chamber. And figure out the neck diameter, if it isn't on the barrel.
Do you have any brass? -Al
Lee has said the newer die leaves a flaired case mouth? May make a difference?Lee Collet die
Lee shortened the working portion of the collet, so a short section of the case neck is not resized. This does two important things that result in at least three worthwhile advantages:
1. It reduces working on the case mouth, to almost zero
2. It leaves the case mouth expanded enough to allow the bullet base to enter freely
Simply have to use a washer/shim of the proper thickness between the shell holder and die and all works good. For a 6br you can use a 6mm ppc collet die or a 6mm arc collet die with the shim..Lee has said the newer die leaves a flaired case mouth? May make a difference?
