6BR decision

Downhill

Got a trued Remington 700, Timney Calvin Elite trigger, B&C stock and a Savage model 12 6BR 8 twist turned down for the remage set up. Has consistently shot in the low 4's. Never run it past 500 yds. Decided to try a Hart 10 twist with the 80 grain bergers. Question is (and I know I am probably opening a can of worms here)- do I stick with the Remage set up or the no nut route. Will turn down the 8 twist for a mid weight hunting rifle for my wife, so spinning it back on is a no go. The remage is a great switch barrel route but really looking for shear accuracy.

107 Sierra, 29.6 Varget, CCI 450 touching the lands. Velocity average 2810 fps. Slight pressure but not scary.

The nut doesn't effect accuracy. The only thing I have noticed is that the nut barrels are not clocked to the barrel warp so switching barrels requires way more scope adjusts as the barrel may shoot left or right.

Just run 80gr in ya 1:8 twist save time and money
And get a custom gun for yourself if you want accuracy. . Best thing i ever did instead of modifying an off the shelf gun
