6br chambers, teach me

I'm interested in 6br, basically the strIght br. Not improved or anything. I see Harrell's has like 6 -8 versions of the br die depending on you chamber. I'm guessing a few will b the improved. I like the long neck. So what variations in std 6br chambers??? I want prob lapua no turn.

I would think they are 6 BR dies. If it was an Improved version it would be a Dasher or BRX die. Different reamers from different manufacturers measure different. Different gunsmiths have did things like tighten up the .200 line on reamers. The die must match the Reamer fairly close. That is why they make so many. Make sure you get reamer so you don't get clickers. Then get a die to match it. Matt

Just build the standard 6 BR. Then send Harrell's two fired cases and he will send you a custom bump die for your chamber. It will give you perfect amount of shoulder bump.
He builds for the BR, Dasher, BRX , 30 BR, PPC, etc.
$75 delivered. Best die out there. Delivery in 2 or 3 days after he receives your cases.
Neck bushing dies.

The reason behind the various size dies for a specific caliber is so you can get as close a match to your fired brass as possible to minimize overworking in certain areas.. An off the shelf die that sizes your brass excessively at the shoulder body junction and not at all at the base will have you wishing you took up archery...

If Harrels makes a die for a cartridge I use, you can bet I use a Harrels die.
