6br 7.5 twist or 8 twist?

I'm putting together another 6mm br. The ones I alreay have are 8twist, including my dasher and they all shoot great. The question is would using a 7.5 twist instead of 8 twist affect accuracy? I will be shooting Barts 105 hammers.

I personally wouldn’t bother with a 7.5 unless I was shooting something like d-tacs or similar really heavy 6mm bullet

I found my 1-8 gave excellent results with 107SMK’s even a bit past 1500 yards.

Generally there’s no harm in a 7.5 and it only give you more options in bullets but the 8” will stabilize 99% of what you’ll realistically shoot out of a straight BR. Flip a coin. Lol.

Unless you are going to shoot 110 gr. and heavier bullets the 1 - 8 is good.

Only if you plan to shoot bullets that don't work in a 1:8. My 1:8 6BR was a hammer, when I built a Dasher I used 1:8 as well.

Pick your bullet, check the elevation you will be shooting at, and the muzzle velocity your barrel will generate. Error on the side of caution.

I'm in North Florida. My 6br is a 7.5tw. It shoots just as good at 6500 feet above sea level as it does here in North Florida with a 105 class bullet. I may be shooting an 87 vmax in it this year in Wyoming. So far here in Florida it's pretty good. A little more load testing.
