6BR .274 neck - what sizings

I'm hoping you can help me out here with this scenario for a used 26" Krieger 6BR .274 neck 1:8.5 twist I picked up.

I got some Lapua Blue box which loads to a diameter of around .268 using Berger 105VLD unshaved and a neat .267 if tidied up and shaved. My Wilson seater doesn't seem happy with the necks unshaved and I'm a bit at sea with everything being much looser than a .262 PPC setup. What bushings would you consider, and what effects can I expect with 6-7 thou headroom around the neck in the chamber? I'm looking forward to sorting this out and having a bit of fun!, so anything I should know or you could tell me would be appreciated.

.266-.267 is where I normally end up with brass that has no neck turning done to them.

Not sure I like all that neck clearance but it's what you have and I would use one of those two bushings and see what it likes. Working your brass that much I would anneal every firing.

I might need to rechamber ultimately, perhaps the. 274 neck would have better suited the old gold box cases for a no turn chamber. I have a 265 bushing that i will give a go for 3 thou tension, but i wonder how many firings i might get and how accuracy might be affected.

The closer you can get the barrel's centerline or axis to match up with the centerline or axis of the bullet and case, the better chance you have of putting bullets through the same hole. If accuracy is your goal. Lining up centerlines is accomplished by decreasing headroom but leaving enough for safety. .001" on each side, or a total of .002" is sufficient. Good Luck. :)
