6br/22br die question

Hi-just a simple question I'm hoping you all can help out with. I have 2 xp-100 projects underway including a 22br w/ a .252" neck and a 6br w/ a .262" neck. Don't have dies for either one, and would appreciate recs on what exactly it is I will need to reload for both in terms of dies, hoping to not have to duplicate). Have 7/8x14 single-stage press, but am also considering getting an arbor press. From what I've read am leaning toward Redding S bushing. Also, if anyone has available components, please PM/email as perhaps we could work out something.
Thanks for the help-Bill

I use the Redding S FL die for sizing, and a Wilson seater for my 6BR, 6BRX, and 20 BR. I am not sure if you can just change the bushing, in the Redding or not, I had to go to the 22 BR, with 20 bushings for the 20BR. You will need both seaters.

This is the suggestion that i recieved from Redding on the 22BR that i just had built when i contacted them on dies . Get the match bushing neck die set which comes with the bushing neck die a body die and the comp seater then order the 22BR form and trim die . There thought was that this was a better set up that using the full length 22BR die as you do not touch your necks till you use the bushing die . The form and trim die just bring your neck down to the right size to make your bushing work correctly . Hope this helps .

Bill,

I have both a 6BR and a 22BR as well. I would definietely recommend the Wilson hand die for seating in which you will need an arbor press. As for the sizing dies, there are several good choices. I would recommend going with something like a Harrells,www.harrellsprec.com) BR die. The only thing they need you to send them some cases that have been fired about three times in your chamber. JLC also makes a very good die. Redding is fair and I just sold one on eBay that would have been perfect for you, but if you are searching for the best in accuracy, I think you would find it with one of the other dies. Hope this helps.
