6br 105 Hybrids

I am working a load up with the 105 Hybrids in my 6br. I am running them with 15 thou jump, I have found pretty good and consistant accuracy @ 29.4 grs of Varget which I suspect is the low node. I think the higher node must be above 30.7 grains which shows no pressure in my rifle, and is far as I have taken it so far. Anyone running the Hybrids around 31 grns ?

Thanks Corey

I have tryed the varget 30.0 to 31.5 with the hybrids

EDITOR: PM larry for his H4895 load. It is too hot to publish here.

I'm using 31.0 gr Varget, CCI 450 with a 10 thou jump as opposed to my 105 VLD orange box load of 30.5gr Varget .013 into the lands. I needed the extra .5 gr to get rid of the vertical due I feel to the shorter bearing surface and being off the lands thus decreasing pressure.

Thanks guys will have to give 4895 a try. I am also gonna jump up to 31 grs of Varget and give it a look also.

wow!!! this seems like A LOT of powder for the 6BR. i am running 30.3 grains with 105 hunting vlds jammed .015, and it is a fairly stiff load. but it shoots the best at this charge so i keep it there.

Well 31 grains was to hot for my rifle. 29.4 seems to be the sweet spot for my rifle shot another really nice group today. I will give this load a whirl Sunday at Yukon MO.

I tried the 105 hybrid in one of my 6 brs today. Using varget and 10 thou jump the best 300 yard group was .650 and the average group was .800 to 1.1 inches.
I tested three different charges of powder but kept all at the same jump. I have been shooting the 107 smk with better results but i am going to test a couple more variations of the load/seating depth and try at 600 yards. I did notice the hybrids measure out more consistant than the matchkings.

Is this the kids gun or the wifes gun or your gun? Doug is doing some development for me on the 6 Fat Rat and found .020 jump worked real real well in that Satern barrel. It liked to be jumped. Just another example, you may have diffrent results with your barrel.

Hope you make it out to Memphis for the match this month.

Five shots at 100 yd

I shot the 105 Hybrids out to 700 yds. today and they seem to be
flatter than the 115's.
I used my Dasher chart for the elevation come up's from 100 yd zero to
700 yds. The chart is set for a Dasher 115 Bergers at 2900 ft per second.

My hybrids from my 6 BR had a muzzle velocity of 2810 fps.
My chart said to dial up 15 MOA for 700 yds. and the little hybrid hit
about 4 inches high. Berger's BC claim for the hybrid must be true.

I hope to try it at 1,000 tomorrow.

I think he is comparing Dasher 115 zero chart to 6BR with Hybrids out to 700 yds

My 6 br Hybrid was 2810 fps.
My Dasher 115 is 2900 fps.

In this situation the Hybrid is the slower round.
but it shot as flat as the faster 115.

Russ, I actually tried in both Michele's and Tammy's guns. I havent given them a real good test yet so am not done with them and will try jumping them more. We all plan to be there this fall but i cant get off this month to make it. Look forward to seeing all in the fall though. Troy
