6AI twist for 115

I am building a 6AI and plan on shooting 105 - 115 bullets out of it. I have a Brux barrel on order that will be made in the next 2-3 weeks. I have a 1-7.5 on order but can change it if I need to. What do you guys think?

That is exactly what I have for my 6mm SLR I do believe you won't be sorry. I haven't even got to shoot the 115's yet been shooting 105,107&108's with GREAT results! 30" Bartlein 1.7:5 twist 5R groove barrel.
Just my .02 worth.

I have a 7.5 twist in a 6x284 that I shoot nothing but 115 DTAC's. I used a 7.5 twist in the three 6xc barrels that I shot out shooting 115 DTAC's so I figured why change.

A 1in8 will be more than enough with all that powder available.

Extra speed has relatively little effect on stability. If the bullet's going faster, then it's rotating faster, which makes it more stable. But, the bullet is moving through the air faster, which means that the force (from the air) causing the bullet to tumble is also greater. On balance, the bullet will be slightly more stable when shot at a higher speed, but not usually enough to allow a slower twist.

1:7.5" is the standard for shooting 115s, and it's what I use with the 115 Bergers in the 6CM.
