I am reloading 6mm BR Norma cases from Lapua, I use N-135 and Berger 68gr bullets

I got reloading info from Berger and starting load is 30.5gr and max load is 34gr.

this is 34gr in the case, isn't this to much, this will compress about 2mm.

what would be optimal starting and max load for accuracy ?

I have Krieger 26" barrel with 13.5" twist and the range is 100m, temp is about -3°C or about 26°F

My N135 load in 6mmBR with Sierra 70 grain match bullets was 33.9 grain and 32.4 grains. Always shot the lighter load to conserve barrel life. I never had the case nearly that full with the 33.9 grain load.

Try dumping the powder down the funnel slower, and drop it from a few inches above the funnel to generate a little velocity. If you have a tube for your funnel, use that. I bet if you alter your technique you will get the powder to pack tighter and it won't be way up into the neck like that.

32.5 of N135 with the 68 gr. Berger is my max load. Bullet seated to touch and the powder column touchs the base of the bullet, not compressed. 3514 fps out of my 1-14 Bartlein with very tiny groups.

I finally made it to the range, I loaded 3 shots with each load from 30.5gr up to 34gr, and then I loaded a bunch in 32gr to play with.

I found out that 33.5gr is optimal for my gun, at least in -7°C

here are some groups trying out different loads.

after cleaning my gun I wiped of the crown and noticed fouling on the crown, is this something to worry about, something for the gunsmith to fix perhaps ?
