64 Gr berger

Just wondering if anyone has experience with 64 Gr Bergers in a .223

jamesinky...I have a Savage m12 LRPV,.223 Rem,1/9 twist bbl.
I have used Berger 64 gn match bullets
with 25.0-25.5 gn of Varget in Lapua brass seated to just touch
to shoot .6-.7' 5 shot groups @ 200yds. Have since gone to
69gn Sierra's & 23.5gn of VV N135 seated .010' off to shoot under .5' 5 shot groups @ 200yds. Good luck. gpoldblue

I have a stock Savage .223 with a 1-9" twist that I have been using to shoot the 64gr. Bergers. I have used 2 different powders...Varget and H-335. I have shot more groups with the Varget, and so far, it has been a little more accurate than the H-335 in my rifle. All of the groups I've shot, with both powders, and a couple of different COAL, average .54" (3 shot groups @ 100 yds.)

I have a Remington .223 with a 1-12" barrel that they will not shoot good in at all. That rifle doesn't like anything heavier than 55gr though.
