600yd F Class National Record Shot (non-registered)

I run a 600yd discipline up here in Portland, OR and we're fortunate to be able to shoot 63 times a year and as a result we've got a great group of guys and some serious talent. Because of our format, instead of matches we have multi-month leagues so it's not registered. I really wanted to share what one of our guys did last night because it was freaking amazing and it was incredible to be there with everyone cheering him on. If I'm correct, had this been an actual registered match this would've been a new national record by 2 Xs. Also, while the target shows .308, yes he was shooting a .284 but I did verify against .284 and the score held. Congrats to Mike for showing us all what is possible even if it can't be made official...

I should also note that this target now puts Mike in the lead for our Winter League with a 1200-108x (we turn in 6 targets for winter league).

Congratulations, but may I ask what happened to sighter 1 ? I'm also interested to know what happened between slighter 5 and 6? String shooting is a alien concept to me.

Sighter one is showing as a 9. Could be way low from a cold bore shot or a freshly cleaned barrel. It looks like all the first sighters were going high so he adjusted the scope down a bit too much for sighter 6 then corrected it for 7 then started the record string.

Thank you, that all makes sense now, it would be nice to know how much elevation he took off for 6 and then put back on, I would have been happy with shot 5 :)

It’s about a half a minute between sighters 5 and 6 but it could also have just been a low shot in addition to clicking down some

What an accomplishment! Congratulations!
