600/1000 yard matches in FL/GA

Blakely Ga is not running matches anymore so that's not an option

I hadn't heard that Malabar added 1000 yards. I thought they only went to 600 yards. Nice place to shoot and some very tough competition.

Andrew, I just started shooting 600 f/class at Camp Blanding a couple of months ago. They had some electronic targets come in this past month for testing, if all things work out we will be using them. We were also told that it is possible we will be alternating from the 600 yard range to the 1000 yarder. I know your aware of Cool Acres , haven't shot there in a long time. Camp Blanding's shoots are on Saturday, Starke Fl. is about 8-10 miles from the range with places to stay. Hope this helps.

Only 600 yards maximum. Sometimes there format is 300,500,600.

We are going to have a 3x20 600yd on Sun in Dec at Camp Blanding.

I attended the 600 yard match at Camp Blanding this past Sunday and it was great. Well run and nice group of guys/gals. Nice range and enjoyed shooting on the familiar Silver Mountain target system.

Palo Alto in Donaldsonville, LA has a Mid-Range F-Class/Prone match the first Saturday of every month (barring any holidays). There are a few folks that make the trip over from NW Florida on a regular basis to shoot with us. Here is the link to our match program http://www.paloaltogunclub.com/documents/ProneProgram2015.pdf . We also have a Field Precision Rifle match on the second saturday of every month (FPR). This is basically a fun, run what ya brung (35 caliber or less) match; we have guys shooting suppressed 6mm Dasher and occasionally a .338LM. Rifle must be fed from a magazine (no single feed) shot on a commercially available folding leg bipod. Here is the match program for the FPR match http://www.paloaltogunclub.com/documents/FPRProgram2015.pdf. Some of the F-Class shooters take advantage of this match to get in some extra practice as well and shoot their F-Class rigs.

These are two of the best, most efficiently run matches anywhere. They have a very nice facility from the shooter's perspective.
Competition is pretty stiff too.

Well SS you don't have to come EVERY month dude. My wife and I drove to Houston from Brandon, Ms this past weekend to shoot a 1K (Not many of those around where we live). It was worth it. It will be worth it occasionally. Make the trip my friend. You'll be glad you did. After you wake up from the coma the trip will put you in LOL.
