6 xc 200yd loads

Anyone have experience in loading the 6-xc for 200 yd. reduced range matches? I see no reason to shoot my 600 yd. load and am looking for a light bullet load with reduced powder charge.
Thanks

What is the barrel length and what is the twist rate? I might have something that will help you out depending upon those two dimensions. ;) WD

Mine is a 28" 1-9tw. I used to be pretty fond of the Bergers till I found a fella in Indiana under Precision Ballistics www.precisionballisticsllc.com (I think that is the right address). His 95gr and 80gr boattails just plain shoot circles around the Bergers in the same weights out of my rifle. ;D I heard that he was moving to Arizona around now so might be having some down time while he moves.

So for 200 yds, I'm using R-17, Norma brass, CCI br primers, and just barely off the lands. Start around 36 gr and see if you can get up to around 40gr or a little better with the 80gr bullets. I've used H4350, and N550 and all three seem to shoot those 80gr well, but the R-17 is faster, cooler, cleaner, and lower ES in my rifle.

Lemme know how it turns out. :)WD
