6 x 47 vs 6 XC

Whats the difference between the 6 x 47 and the 6 XC and does one have an advantage over the other. And best twist rate for the 105 class bullets. Availability of dies, cases etc.

I am shooting the 6XC after shooting the .243 for a couple of years. There is very little difference between the two - the XC has slightly more case capacity than the 6x47 but I gather not enough to make much difference. Lapua makes the '47 brass, Norma the XC. Dies are available from Superior Shooting Systems, Redding, Forster. The '47 has Lapua behind it which should make more universally available.

I am shooting an 8' twist with 115's, I'd leave my options open and go at least that fast.

I will second the 6x47 as lapua is makeing great brass. They shoot very well with a 8tw barrel. 88gr-107gr bullets work well in this twist.
