6 SLR headspace guages

Anyone have a set I can borrow get get my barrel mounted.

Whidden dies arrived today, Satern supposedly has the barrel ready to go (certificate off of the prize table at the SWN), I got a few hundred pieces of WW brass months ago, bullets and H1000 are on the way....It occurred to me that my smith will not have go/no-go guages for this caliber. this is the last piece of the puzzle that I don't have.

Anyone have a set I an borrow for a couple of weeks. (I'll get some ordered for the long run, but if I have to wait for PT&G it will be months before I get this rifle built)

And another question because I do need to buy one, who is out there who can make a set of headspace gauges for a 6SLR?

I emailed the Whidden shop last week about chambering a 6SLR and they said they didn't have a reamer? The place they rent from didn't have it either. So hopefully they have dies made.

Ptg makes both bolt gun and ar10 6mm slr reamers, the hs gauges are the same.

I am reluctant to order from PT&G again. I've ordered from them three times, in every case they have eventually delivered the requested product, but at 2x to 4x the projected delivery time, and in one case I finally had to send the bolt back to them to get the correct extractor (after they sent two incorrect ones).

If I have to I will. Lets see how long it takes me to get the bottom metal I won at the SWN. I sent that certificate off about two weeks ago.

PT&G seems to be really hit or miss lately. Everything Ive ordered has been perfect and shipped almost immediately but I know a couple friends who have had issues like you describe. I would give them a chance and see what happens.

You can rent them from this guy. I did my first two chambers with his stuff.
