6 PRC

Should pretty much be a twin to the 6-284 and they always do well so a 6 PRC should too. With the heavies a 6 PRC will fit in a short action better and as of now good 6.5 PRC brass is easier to find as well.

Have a buddy running our 103 grain bullet and N570. I want to say hes running them 3450 or so. The whole idea is speed to begin with. You dont gain a lot of BC bumping up the weight in a 6mm. When we talked about this cartridge, the only use I could see for it was a good truck gun for predators. See a wolf or coyote, jump out of the truck, no time to range. Point and shoot. So the flatter the better.

I just chambered a 6 PRC for a customer. This round intrigues me a bit. I was talking to a buddy of mine and was kicking around the idea of a 6 PRC to shoot the 112 Barnes and the DTAC.

Anyone done this?
Ha ha, you're late to the party, BTDT 6 years ago.....

I've had one in a XP-100 for years, even with a 15" barrel I can run Berger 108 hybrids close to 3100 fps, it's been a fun cartridge and very accurate.
