6 mm xc

am thinking of a varmint rifle using 68 75 grain bullets.what loads would you use and does the large primer detract in accuracy department a lot?am looking for a .25 grouping to .5 accuracy area.i have a shilen dga action and a six h v stock to work with.

Yes, it does detract, plus the larger flash hole will not allow the high pressure that the small 6-6.5x47L will.

i thought that it would be a good idea.but ....
does this 6 x 47 a factory case yet or a sized down 6.5 x 47 case?i`lltake the one that is more accuracate.
gary
also what loads can i put together in this case?

I think the large primer is statistically more reliable than the small primer. So you choose between increased preassure stability or primer reliability. If you are varmint hunting then primer reliablity is probably not as important as the brass life with the smaller primer.

Cbrezinski,
If what Kabang is "thinking" were true, all the benchrest/competition crowd would be seeking the "hottest" small primer available and then enlarge the flash hole? That isn't so. While it's good to test different primers most of us are using/seeking the primer with the least power that will consistently light the powder. If you want accuracy ask the competitor. Even savvy varmint hunters shy away from magnum primers in small cases. I choose to light over a hundred grains of sloooww powder in my elk rifle with a standard large rifle primer because of the better ES and SD.

Lapua isn't going to make 6 x 47L brass so you do have to neck down
6.5 x 47L brass but it's simple to do.

sounds like a straight up 6BR would be perfect for what you are asking it to do, use lapua brass out of the box, excellent accuracy with bullets from the short line benchrest 60 FB up to 107 HPBT. Don't need to over think this one.
