6 mm dasher

can you use lighter bullets say 75 to 90 grain in a 1/8 twist barrel ?am thinking of a light gun for 1000 yd bench rest but want to shoot at ground hogs out to 300 to 400 yards also.any thoughts on this.i have a 1976 shilen action and a heavy thumb hole shilen glass stock to use for this project.
what would you recomend to me for a build on this ?

Absolutely!

I shoot 108gr Bergers at 600 and 1000 yards using Varget and get 3050 fps. I use Varget behind a 55 gr varmint bullet and get 3750 fps. I use last years match barrel for this years prairie dogs. Barrel is 1:8 twist.

I've tried only a few different lighter bullets in mine. I found a good load with 80gr. noslers shooting .3's

This is a 1:8 krieger hvy vmt.
