6 mm Dasher Norma brass disappointed

Loading on my 2nd firing and some of the CCI primers are falling out.

Shooting 32.4 grs of h4895 on the 1st firing. Borderline warm but the gun shoots great

Disappointed to say the least

Sort to speak, it's the nature of the beast, if not fire-forming them with a mild load.
And if the chamber is spec'd to a larger size, heavy loads may never work for the tighter spec'd Norma cases.

I ran 300 pieces of Norma Dasher brass last year I started fire forming at 30.0 of Varget then 30.2 Varget on the second firing and then during the season I ran Varget between 32.4 and 32.7 .32.7 resulted in loose primer pockets and an occasional blown primer in the warm part of the year... but up in deep creek 32.70 shoots just fine in elevation & cold weather. All told I am at 9 x fired and have culled probably close to 40 due to loose pockets. I would imagine as others have recalled whatever powder is used ..if you step on them hard first time out you are gonna loose the pockets.

You dont have to step on norma brass hard to lose the pockets. This story replays eventually to everyone that uses it but they havent cared about fixing it for the past 15yrs at least. They still sell every bit they make i guess, so its not going to change i imagine

Using Norma brass in a Lapua brass spec'd chamber has the most influence to why. There on average 1-1/2 thousandths smaller at the webbing (see attached picture below), hence, why they can loosen the primer pockets easier/sooner.

Really no different then the gunsmiths who spec or enlarge Lapua brass based chambers to +.4716" to work better with generic dies. They loosen the primer pockets just as easy or worse.

I'm aware of a couple gunsmiths that were promoting and opening up the aft of the chambers to +.4720" and larger to stop "clickers" when using generic off the shelf dies. 4 to 6 firings on Lapua's and they were trashed as well, when using the typically loads for upper nodes.
