Thank you for looking, for sale is a 1956 Springfield armory M1 garand. Except for the bolt the rifle appears to be 100% matching parts or at least period correct. The rifle is in incredible condition for its age. At the time we purchased it. It was the best one in the rack.It is being sold exactly the way it was purchased at the Cmp North store in 2021. The original certificate and receipt will be included in the black hard case. The rifle is Service grade. The wear tag is in the photographs. This rifle was probably a US Marine Corps shooting team gun it wears the capital A Marine Corps proof mark, that is the only proof mark on the rifle. The stock had been sanded, smooth it now has some nicks and gouges from general wear. It also has the national match op rod. This rifle was purchased by my Shooting partner Larry. We now have upgraded to 308 in one grand. Since the time the rifle has been bought, it has been shot less than 100 times locally and is an outstanding Shooter. I have more pictures on my phone.
