6 DASHER vs 6BR-DX

what are the pro's and con's of the dasher and the 6br-dx.?

Thinking when i get my new 6BR finished, im going to put a 10 twist barrel on the
rifle i have now to play with, maybe shoot some deer with the 87VLD and some varmits with the 88gr HBC. im thinking all the speed i can get with a better BC than i usually shoot.
(im a die hard 14 twist guy) with as much accuracry i can get. thats what i want to do.

it looks to me to be the dasher hands down from what i can read.

Ok well that did'ent work.
Is the dasher the 6BR improved i should be looking at?
is the dasher the fastest and most accurate of the improved 6BR's?

Fjim,
I think all of the improved 6BR's are great and just as accurate as the other one.
I just did par 6BR-DX's I like the longer neck the BRDX offers over the Dasher or the BRX. Dies are very simple to make for the BRDX all you need to do is use a 6 Dasher FL die and cut .030 off the bottom of it. And for a seater die just use a Redding competition die and have the sleeve reamed with the chamber reamer. The Dasher and the BRX will have a little more powder capacity that the BRDX.

Ok thanks.
I dont know too much about them,i have allways stayed away from them and dont read post on them, just because i have not been interested in them before, naturally because i have been so happy with the 6BR. but thinking what to do with the rifle i have now??
after i have my new 6BR done and shooting. by then this barrel should be about done.
do i sell it as just good for 1/2 to 3/4 groups varmit rifle. There are things i dont like about it and tha cost to fix it right as i would want it and a new barrel would be real close to a new custom . so i thought it works fine and SHOOTS good so maybe just spin a 10 twist barrel on it and do some experimenting with the 6 dasher. and if it shoots well i could shoot 600yrd BR with it also.

FJim,
Have you seen this article in the daily bulletin? http://bulletin.accurateshooter.com/2011/04/2011-hickory-groundhog-shoot-match-report/

As well here is another article. http://www.6mmbr.com/gunweek060.html

Here is Doug Paschall Phone # I'm sure he can answer all your questions about the 6BRDX. 336-731-4618.

nope i did'ent...Thanks ,, i read them.
I do like the longer neck on the dx and the fact thats its kind of just AI and any of the AI i have had or several that friends have had allways shot well.
But i hear that 6dasher is very accurate.
Maybe there was just no dashers on the line that day he won the match.lol..
No just kidding.. yea thats kind of what im asking witch one seems to be the best choice.
I mean they both seem good but maybe one is better. I just dont know but im leaning tward the dasher for the speed . now in the one article they seem to be ramped up that he can get 34+ grains of RL15 in the dx case?? i dont understand that, I can get 34.0 gr RL15 in my 6BR case(i just did it to be sure) Easily!..so i just dont know??

I with you on the 6 dasher. I read the gun of the week article sometime ago. Thought I'd post both articles for you just because they both have info on the BRDX. I noctied in the Daily Bulletin article that Sam Hall was also shooting the BRDX at the Hickory Ground Hog match. Guess he is experimenting with it. Last I heard Sam still holds the world record for 5 shots at 600yrds that went into something like .686, and that was done with a 6 dasher. I think he broke the record in 2010. So yea The dasher is a proven cartridge. It will be interesting to see how the BRDX will do as more and more people start to play with it or show up at compitions with it.
Thanks
Mark
