6 Dasher - Norma Brass - Reloader 16

Yes. I figured ~ 3,100 was enough speed...as tempting as 35.5 was... Shooting F Class with multiple long strings of fire, guns getting dirty, hot, etc. I would not have problems and brass would hold up. Worked fine this past shooting season. RL 16 no pressure issues at all. Keith has chambered up a new barrel (Krieger .237) that I will be putting on at some point. I will update my testing results with that barrel when I actually do it.
So how did the 2018 season work out for you? Did you try the new barrel? Did you try a higher node?
I've been lurking on here for a real long time, but never had anything useful to add to the conversation (confusion?). Anyway, I've been shooting RL15 in a similar Dasher and have decided to try RL16, after trying Varget, and also H4350, H4831SC compressed loads. About the same velocities from everything, but more trouble to load.

P1010272.JPG Yes I shot the new barrel this year - ~ 800 rounds so far. I did not chrono it but the come ups were essentially the same. About mid-summer switched to a new lot of RL16 and did end up changing primers to BR-4 (from the 450's). Yes it is more trouble to load, but worth it to me. No pressure issues, still shoots good as the barrel heats up and primer pockets still good on the Norma brass.

Well, I'm gonna give it a try. I've got 8lbs of RL16, 500 Berger 105 Hybrids, 1,000 BR-4s, and a new barrel with about 100 rds down the tube, that's been sitting around for a while. What could possibly go wrong? Just gotta find time to get to the range and do a ladder, or so. Also, Norma says there's new Dasher brass going in about two weeks.

You will find the sweet spot very near 35 grs
It’s a great combination!

I really learned a lot just from how you write your specs on the target. Round count, bushing sizes, etc.. Im getting ready to load for my first wildcat, (6-284) and I am trying to be as efficient as possible with components and round count. Your targets are great examples on how it should be done. Thx!
P.S. I swear I saw that same drop tube on a Wile E. Coyote Episode! I believe it was made and shipped by ACME. :)
