6 Dasher hunting rifle

I finally got around to building a 6 dasher for a coyote/deer gun. Nothing fancy, more of a budget build. I've had most of the parts a long time, but just got a barrel and motivation to build it. I've got the scope mounted now, just need to get a picture of it.

Remington 700 SA
Shilen #3 sporter 1-8" 25"
Cheap factory Remington varmint adl stock
Vortex viper scope
PTG T23209 reamer .272 neck .104 freebore
Brass- I have Lapua BR brass but considering buying Alpha so I don't have to form it..
Bullets- I have some 60 grs, but thinking about the Berger 105 hunters

Stay away from 108 eldm on coyotes. At least from my experience. Not a pretty sight. This was from a 6 Creedmoor

Nice rifle. You may want to look into the ALPHA brass I know they are having lots of problems with the
6 BRA brass, might want to research if they are having any problems with their other brass.

Nice rifle. Do yourself a favor and stick with Lapua brass. Well worth the effort to ff it.

Thanks for the comments and tips. I had to design a custom magazine follower and block to get it to feed properly. I've tested it with one BR round, it functions good so hopefully it feeds the dasher too.

When I set up my daughter's 243 for deer I settled on the 90gr ballistic tip. Berger hunting 105s would do great I'm sure.

I bought a very similar rifle to yours off of GB a couple of years ago, its got a slow twist barrel and I cant get to the heavier bullets, but it shoots great and kills yotes and cats like a champ. Its now my fav rifle to just shoot and enjoy. If I ever put a new barrel on I will go with something that will handle those heavier deer bullets. I am sure you will enjoy yours.

Last I checked, the straight 6BR wasn’t a SAAMI cartridge. Has that changed?
