6 BRX

I have a 6BRX and have had lots of issues. What I am wondering is how much extra pressure will a CCI450 give me over a FED 205m?

I don't quite understand what your "Issues" are but if your having primer problems then maybe this will help.

I just had a 6BRX built this spring and when I was fire forming cases with 205s and 30grs of Varget with 105s I was getting a spur on the primer. When I went to the BRX load with fire formed brass I started using 400s and found the same thing.

As I worked up on my loads I got a couple that pierced the primer and this gave me some concern. I talked to the guys on here about having my firing pin bushed since I had heard this was a problem with the BR family of cartridges.

Then a couple of the guys on here suggested that I try the 450s or the Wolf SRMag primers. Which I did and had no more problems. My load now is 33.4grs of Varget with nary a problem. Hope this helps.

Maybe this will help. It's a great article. I started out with CCI 400's when I first got my BRX with unpleasant results. I use only Tula/Wolf SRM primers now. This is my 3rd year using them. Great ES and SD numbers. Not to mentions great scores.

What I ma asking is will the 450 cause more pressure than like a 205m?

If you work up a load with a 205m and switch to a 450 will it spike the pressures?

I believe you will find your answere in this article by German Salazar
