6 BRX F-CLASSq

Putting together a 6BRX for F CLASS shooting. Trying to decide what contour barrel to use. I am leaning toward a lighter weight barrel like Rem. Varmint but also wonder what most folks are using. Heavy Varmint? Light Varmint? Thanks for the input.

I'd say heavy with 2 considerations. 1 Weight limit of the lightest class I intend to shoot. F-class can go to 22 I believe but if you ever decide you want to get into BR the limit is 17lbs for light gun then you can shoot it in light and heavy. 2 Balance If things aren't done right you can still be within the limit but be nose heavy and track poorly. When I have a rifle put together I have an idea of what I want the length to be , I know what the weight limit is and it is all discussed with a knowledgeable smith who knows more about all this stuff than I do. Then he figures it all out weight limit, length, contour, he figures it all out with a given set of components also considering any weight that might be added to the butt. He can play a little with barrel length and added weight system to get the balance correct. I ultimately rely on his judgment.
