6 BRA Reamer Questions

Phil

Gold $$ Contributor
Okay,

Good day gentlemen…..

I’m looking for some assistance in correcting me in my quest to have some workable dimensions for a 6 BRA reamer.

I’m waiting for my blue box brass to arrive but I’d like to get some suggestions / corrections on my dimensions.

I’m thinking .471-.472 @.200 and .460-.461 @ the shoulder/ body junction.

Any suggestions would be appreciated, I’m holding off on neck dimensions until I receive my brass and load a bullet.

For this reamer I’m thinking I’m going to be using 55-65 gr bullets so I’m open to hearing about freebore measurement’s.

Thanks for the help,

Phil.

Hey Feller, having had several built just make sure that you are at least .4715 and my next one will be.472 @ the.200 line if you are planning on using Peterson, Lapua, or Remington brass or "clickers" will drive you nuts. The rest of the dimensions you can work with like making sure you get the freebore for the bullets which you are planning on using. .105 is what I use for 8 twist barrels and I can use anything from 55 noslers up to the 108 VLDs Bergers....
