I am in process on a custom 700 action and was planning on doing 6ppc, but now am considering 6br instead. The problem I have now is I got my barrel in a 1:14 twist. Anyone experimented with this twist in a 6br? If so how did it work?
A 14 twist 6br will shoot the lighter weight bullets into groups so small you'll swear to god you died and went to heaven.....
I shoot 66 grain Fowlers in mine with Varget and the accuracy is scary out of a 20 inch Hart barrel on a XP action........
How's <.375 for a five shot group at 200 meters sound? I have a 6mm BR 1-14" twist that will do the above with 65grn. to 68grn. bullets all day.

how bout 55 blitzkings? I know where I can get a 1000 moly coated for like $80 and wondered if its worth it. I don't really like moly coated, but the prive is sweet for varmint loads.
Try a stout load of H-322 with those 55gr Blitz-Kings and you'll enjoy bughole groups at 100 yards at 3900fps or faster, doesn't get much better than that
Rednek, I have a 26" Hart in a 1:14 and my best group measured .151" at a 100 yards, and I'm just a beginner. I shoot the 65gr vmax load from this site, I believe it is in the varment section. Don't look back you'll love it.
The 1-14 twist is typical in benchrest rifles, it will shoot well beyond the ability of most of us with good loads - if you are using light bullets.
I am using a used bencrest barrel with a 1-14 for varmints, if I miss that is the case I am the cause, not the gun.
Stay under ~75gr bullets and you should be thrilled with the accuracy you get.
I have two friends who own Cooper's in 6 br. They shoot fantastic with 65 v-max and 70 Nos. BT. Both scored on Prarie Dogs at over 500 yds. in heavy winds. You will be happy with the Cooper 6 br.
I have a 40-x 6 br with a 14 twist and it will shoot the 70 Nos. BT. but i think the 65 - 68's shoot better with the 14 twist. My Bryant 700 12 twist shoots real well with the 70 B.T. It took 3 PD's off a mound at 678 yd. this June with the 70's.
