6 br grouping question

Hi everyone
I am getting good groups out of my gun at 100 and 200 yards. When I go to 300 yards my groups open up to around 4 inchs. At 100 and 200 yards all 5 shots are touching if I do my part. It is a savage with a pac-nor barrel. Shooting nosler 105 into lands and 30 grs of Varget with wolf mag primers it is an 8 twist. What should I try to do to get gun to shoot better at 300 yards plus ?

What power scope? Are you using same size targets at 300 yds as you are at 100 & 200, or are the 300 yd targets larger? Was the wind a factor? Flags? Are you shooting the 300 yd grp after the 100 & 200?

There is another possible cause, parallax adjustment. Be sure you adjust it so that when you move your head around behind the scope, the cross hairs are still relatively stable. Generally this means that the target may not be perfectly clear. Good luck and let us know what you find!

I'm shooting off a solid bench,trigger puller is a little under a pound don't like trigger little than that. As far as target I am using a differant target at 300 yards so I can see my hold point better using an 8x32x44 burris fine plex. I shot 100 and 200 then 300 yards letting barrel cool between each yardage change . While try seating depth change first unless someone else has a better idea.

Use flags. Each range is unique in that different terrain affects the bullet on it's way to target......It could also be increased mirage if that last 100 yards is bare ground.
'All holes touching' does not provide us with an average group size at the shorter ranges.

I got to shoot the other day and try differant seating depth. Shoot only 300 yards. The best group I had was around an 1 1/2 group. First 3 shots were one ragged hole the next 2 where to the right wind started blowing and the driver probably had something to do with it also. Going to try again Saturday. Any other advise on things to try.
