6.8-to 6.5 resizing

Hi All
First post, here. My question is: Has anyone considered, or done, a re-sizing of a 6.8 SPC case, to 6.5? Other gunners and I have thought the availability of 6.5 bullets, in addition to the (perhaps) better accuracy, might be something to explore.
Is there somewhere you folks could point me to, for more information?

The 6.5x6.8 has been done. Barrels can be had from Columbia River (formerly Black Hole Weaponry). Its as simple as using the appropriate bushing in a 6.8 bushing die. Probably a .293" or so. Some information from shooters over on the 68forums.

Other than bullet availability, what's the primary advantage? I think the SPC case is a touch long for most 6.5 projectiles, no? The 6.8 in the right barrel is no slouch. Another better choice (if it were me) would be the 6mm version or the Tac 6. Have you checked out AR Performance? He's got some pretty good options for barrels, and offers dies to go with some of the wildcat rounds.

Or, if your heart is set on 6.5mm, the 6.5mm Grendel is a better option - larger case capacity despite being shorter (and therefore better suited to magazine limited 2.26" COALs with these long bullets); top quality very strong Lapua brass; a factory CIP and SAAMI recognised number so designs, kit, reamers etc all available pretty well off the shelf.

It does have a slightly larger case-head diameter than the SPC so would need a 6.8 SPC bolt-action's face opened out marginally. In AR types, bolts are available in both sizes even if the lugs are getting a bit thin to accommodate the Grendel.

As with SPC case wildcats, there are some very effective 6mm variants on the Grendel too.
