6.5x55 SE competition die

Hi,

I'm developing a load for my custom build rem700 in 6.5x55SE.
I have the powder and bullet sorted out. Next thing I need to do is check which OAL will tightens the groups the most.

For this I need get a competition die. What would you recomend, RCBS, redding... ?

Regards,
David

Why would you need a comp die to do that ??
Calipers and a nut are a lot cheaper !!!
So is a Wilson seater die...

^^^^^ Exactly what he said.^^^^^ and you don't need a micrometer top for the Wilson seater.....use seater die shims instead.

I also shoot the Swede… seat 140 SMKs using a Bonanza w/ a sleeve and micrometer top (used @ $25).

Because it's simpler to "precisely" adjust/vary seating depth, during testing.

The "new bells and whistles" dies, IMHO have nothing on that old Bonanza, as it seats bullets, in my Swede ammo that's capable of delivering high master scores (in F-class). :)

s/s the cheap ol' frt

Sorry for the confusion.

I measured OAL with hornady tool.

I wan't to buy Competition bullet seating die and was asking what make to buy.

Hi Red Mamba,hi all
Red,I believe any of the good brands' seaters(RCBS,Redding,Wagner,Hornady,Forster,Wilson)could and would do,but in my opinion the best bang for your buck in this regard is Forster micro seater.Mine are all a breeze to use,and they'll come in a plastic box that will hold them(along with other dies)without having to separate the adjusted micro head from the die body as the Redding box requires most of the time....

Hi again Red,hi all

You can give a go at Sinclair mate, they have it in stock I suppose, but if not Forster Products will sell them to you no prob, either way they'll be cheaper than Reddings....
