6.5x55 Loads with 130 Bergers

Just wondering if anyone is using 130g Bergers in 6.5x55. What loads? Rifle is modern with 30" barrel 1-8.5" t. Used for F Class

Thanks

For whatever this may be worth, I have a shootin buddy whose 6.5 X 55 w/1:8.5 Kreiger likes Berger 130' s- 140's being pushed by VVN150 & VVN160 in the mid 35 - 40gr range. I tried Bergers in my 6.5 X55 (1:8 Hart 27" Barrel) and she just could never give me exciting results. But similar loads using Sierra 142's gave me much better results. Then I decided to try some Lapua 123's being pushed by 41.5 gr of VVN150 provided some very nice tight 5 shot groups. This was all shot off Benchtest style shooting. Hope that helps some.

in a sporter 700 classic i shoot the 130's over 42.5 of varget. for a factory remmy barrel it can hold 5/8 5 shot groups. great deer load. i know its not a bench or competition gun but if this gun can print good groups a custom should easily be 1/2 or under, which is plenty good for f-class.

I use 46gr N160 with 130gr bergers in my factory Sako 75 1/8.5 twist and these shoot well under .5".I've had the best success with Berger VLD's seated 20 thou off the lands.

For the 130 Bergers I am going to start with 45g - 4350 or 2209 over here in oz. I have had success with 44g of 4350 with 139g Scenars.

Thanks for the input
