6.5X47L Tight neck?

I see alot of reports of guys shooting the 6.5X47 no turn necks or light clean up of the necks. My ?, I like to hear from some guys shooting tight necks like a .290 ? Would there be any benifits in turning the necks ? I know this has been disscussed with other Cals,i havent seen it on the 6.5X47

Mine has a .290 neck but I considered that a light turn. The bennies are the same as neck turning for any other cart. , consistency of neck tension and concentricity. Lapua brass is good but it can be made better i think. But if you suck at turning it might be better to leave them alone.

I've got a .290 neck in 2 rifles. I use a .288 bushing and have a .289 loaded round.
Yea, I know, That's REALLY close. I also check EVERY loaded round every time with a good set of calipers. Never had any problems and both guns shot .5 MOA or better at 800 yards, which is all the range I have. I also anneal every round. I use light neck tension and allow the bullet to be seated when I chamber the round. I shoot nothing but Berger VLD at 140 grains.
