6.5x47L OAL for 130 Bergers & 139 Scenars

For those of you reloading the 6.5x47, what max OAL is being used w/ 130 Bergers & 139 Scenars? Anyone using different OALs than factory 139s?

Thanks

No issues with length -- you can load them into the lands and still feed fine. The Bergers work well about 15 thou into the lands for me.

Thanks bro, I guess I wasn't clear. It appears from the factory Lapua 139s there is plently of room the the mag for bullet seating so I was looking for max OAL folks were seating both the 139 Scenars & 130 Bergers.

Thanks

Had a 6.5x47 chambered using a rental reamer that came from or was a Pacific. Asked smith for any tight neck that’d work with a 140VLD. Instead I’m pretty sure the smith used this one with 160 freebore:

With the 139 Lapuas or Berger 140VLDs all the way into the lands there isn’t enough room for near a full load of IMR4350 without compression. The bullet’s bearing surface ends just ahead,.020”-.025” assumed) of the neck shoulder junction. Landed up selling my collection of 139g & 140g bullets figuring H4350 wouldn’t be much different. Not sure what R-17 will be like. Guess I could have had the free bore lengthened. But this reamer’s .295 neck is excessive to my liking since the Lapua brass I have cleaned up at .2905 loaded.

If you’re asking because you want to chamber a barrel for shooting 139s off the bench, I’d advise using a reamer with a lot more freebore and tighter neck dimensions than this one.
