6.5x47L dies shortage?

I tried to buy some Forster dies in 6.5x47 from Sinclairs but found that they had no sets from any of the brands they stock.

Is there a shortage in the market place?

Dave

There is a shortage of everything else why not dies again. Call them and see if they expect an order soon. Did you check some of the other sites including forsters home site.

I did not call as I am in the UK, but I did email. No reply to the question of when they might be in again.

Forsters may be a option if they will deal with customers outside of the USA,

A place called butch's reloading has a redding match set.Ready to ship if they can do international.208.99 with the micrometer seater.

Dave,

Hannam's Reloading has a large Forster order in place currently. Delivery from the US is waiting on the completion of some Co-Ax presses. There are 6.5X47 dies in the order and in my case it's a hope that a Bushing-Bump sizer will be included in the delivery when it eventually arrives.

I would be surprised if you couldn't get one from Whidden Gunworks. I have a set of his dasher dies and they are great dies.

I bought Hornady Match recently for my 6.5x47...just because I found a deal and was happy with the Creedmoor set I had previously.

Good luck!

Whidden Gunworks

Just received a 6x47 L from them. Full len bushing with headspace gauge same price as the rest of the makers and received it in two days.

What dimensions / type bushings do the Whidden dies use? Whidden's own or Wilson / Redding?

The "guts" are all Redding>>>>so you can use the Redding OR Wilson bushings... The body of the die is "Whidden" but the rest is Redding...

I ordered some dies from Forster around Christmas time. Didn't get them till about two weeks ago. Seams like everything's is back ordered.

I called most of the distributors for Forster about a month ago. None had the particular 6.5x47L dies I was trying to buy. Finally, having worked my way from East to West, a knowledgeable fella in Colorado checked with Forster HQ for me, and reported back the next day to me that 6.5x47L dies were slated to be manufactured in March. It's March boys, I hope they make a bunch of them...
