Want to order a reamer. What is the most popular? Neck size?Etc,etc.Want to shoot 130gr bullets. Freebore??

The reamer I bought is shown in the first figure on http://www.6mmhot.com/6.html I currently shoot Berger 130's as they shoot better than I could expect a gun in my hands to shoot. I shoot this gun for mid-range F-class and it performs very well for me.

The diagram shown on 6mmhot.com has been slightly changed since then, 0.159 lead, 0.294 neck etc. The diagram shown is pretty close to what you want for the 130gr Berger VLDs.

A reamer that suits 120-140gr projectiles means you can squeeze a little more powder in the case when using the 130s jammed 0.010' or so into the lands. I'm using one of these no neck turn reamers and it has proved to be very accurate with the Berger VLDs.

Email Dave Kiff,Pacific Tool) and check with him for what he would recommend for your needs.

+1 on talking to Dave Kiff, I have on both reamers I have based on the 6.5 x 47 L and have been pleased. Dave will point you in the right direction.

I just received my reamer and print from Dave K. this week. I made a couple of minor changes to the dimensions to the reamer that you are currently discussing. I intend to shoot 123-130 bullets exclusively, and I also believe that perfectly round, concentric necks are one of the components that lead to an accurate cartridge. The barrel will get chambered this week, and I should have it broken in and have some useful data by early October. I’ll know by then if the “tweaking” so to speak of the reamer was of any value. As a side note, if anyone has any load data specific to the weight class of bullets I mentioned above, I’d like to hear from you. I’ll be shooting Lapua brass, and Wolf SR-M primers. Any powder data would be appreciated.,Yes I know there is a lot of data on the forum, but there is never too much!) Thanks for your help I will keep everyone informed.
