6.5x47 Reamer, Dave Kiff?

Hi folks, my heart is set on the 6.5x47, it is literally EXACTLY what I was imagining as my 'ultimate' for a few years. I wanted a mid length .308 based case, cutting the difference between 6BR and full length, and with a 6.5 bore.

Now, where to get a reamer, Dave Kiff seems to be familiar with it, and I just had my 7mm WSSM reamer done there a month ago, so I'd like to support them again.

Laf, it would seem so, I was on the phone when I wrote that and left out a good bit. Meant to ask if anyone had heard if Kiff was making reamers yet for it, or if anyone knew of another maker that was already producing reamers.

Dave has done several of them already. Personally, I'm waiting for production brass.

I know Dave measured some samples in January for a European client. But I tend to agree--it may be smart to wait 'till we see the production stuff, particularly if you intend to go with a no-turn neck. There might be very small dimensional differences compared to the samples I've reviewed. And of course, the latest batch featured small flash-holes and small primer pockets, whereas my Nov '05 samples had large/large.

How much were your 6X47 Lapua dies i have cases and a Kiff reamer in 6mm already using BR dies for forming and seating is your sizing die a bushing die??

Bill, the dies were around 140$ or so. The sizing die uses a bushing I guess they are like Redding s type dies. I also got form/ ream die so I can use .243 brass until we can get the 6.5-47 brass here. Now im just waiting on my action blank to arrive so I can build the action and assemble the rifle.

Darrell Jones got Hornady to make a custom die from the Reamer print. I think it's similar to a Redding Type S, FL with bushing. It cost about $90 delivered.
