6.5x47 neck size bushing

Just picked up a Kelby Panda with a Krieger barrel.
It has a .297 neck on it. What size bushing will I need to purchase? Will be using Lapua brass and Wilson dies.

It depends on thickness of the neck. I would turn my brass to .014 then use a .290 bushing giving .002 neck tension and .005 neck clearance.

If the neck is .015 then use a .292 bushing giving .003 clearance

You should measure a loaded round with the bullet you are going to use than subtract how much tension you want.

I just loaded 3 rounds a few weeks ago to bring to my gun smith to test fire and with the Lapua brass I have and Berger 130 vld's my loaded rounds were .2885-.289 with unturned brass.

With your .297 chamber I would not turn any off your brass as it may end up very loose.

I have a .292 neck and plan on just a skim pass to true up the brass.

Thank you. To bad I will not get to shoot it for a while.
Tore my left bicep and tendons last night. It is 1/2 way up my arm. Surgery Monday. Fun wow!!!
