I had so much fun shooting my 6.5X47 out to a mile I decided to step up in bullet weight with better BC numbers. I tried the 147 ELD-M last summer and managed a couple 6" 1K groups. This was in spite of seating the bullet past the donut and seriously crunching powder. I have several hundred of these with two different lot numbers. I rented a reamer from 4D rentals and reamed the throat enough to keep the base out of the donut. Ran my same loads over the Magneto Speed today. I lost 48 fps but gained it back with another grain of powder. My last group went .293" @ 2809. This will keep me trans sonic to a mile. No sign of pressure so I am going to see if I can safely get 2850 to give me a little margin. Evan gave me the BTO of the Berger 153.5 and they are real close to the 147. Looks like I am off to the range maybe this weekend.
